Although I always try to prioritize my academic performance, activities outside of classes are also a fundamental part of my life. They are an extension of who I used to be before college and who I want to become in this journey. After all, there is no better way to learn a lesson than to experience it.

> CubeCats
CubeCats is an engineering-focused club that promotes student-led spaceflight projects and industry networking. In the club's freshmen-focused program CATiSE, the annual project promoted had the primary goals to collect a sample of a cloud and measure air pollution levels in Cincinnati. I became the team lead of the Flight System and contributed to the design of a high-altitude balloon that carries the software necessary for the project's deliverables. More information can be found in the official website. Eventually, my fascination for the club's activities and purpose also brought me to the Executive Board as the Vice President. I am currently in charge of leading CATiSE and helping new freshmen conduct the annual project for 2023-2024, develop their own deliverables, and meet them successfully. |
> The Honors Program
The UHP's commitment to always challenge students to live a well-balanced, productive, self-reflective, and inclusive college life led me to thrive as a person and as a scholar. In 2022, I was part of the first group of freshmen ambassadors that recruited more honors students and promoted seminars, informational sessions, interviews, and social events. The experience led me to meet incredible people, work on public speaking skills, and be even more involved in a program I was eager to dive into. I enjoyed this challenge so much that I became part of the Ambassador Leadership Team and mentored the second group of freshmen ambassadors for 2023-2024. It has been an incredible journey to shape the program according to first-year student's needs and boost their performance as ambassadors, especially because I was once exactly where they are now. |
> Bearcat Buddies
The Bearcat Buddies program takes students to public schools in the Greater Cincinnati area to teach Math and English to young children. As a former volunteer in an NGO providing primary knowledge in my hometown, I have always been interested in shaping the education methods depending on the individual's social and economic background. This old passion continued as I started volunteering in Bearcat Buddies: getting to know the students on a deeper level boosted the tutoring dynamic and taught me lessons about life through the hopeful and simple perspective of children. I am forever grateful for this opportunity and aspire to contribute to the program more significantly in the months to come. |
> Habitat for humanity
I had never heard of this program before coming to Cincinnati. The chance to help build homes for others while learning multiple hacks and connecting to people sounded just as meaningful as it turned out to be. Volunteering in Habitat for Humanity is challenging, humbling, eventful, and ultimately really fun. I will keep cherishing the opportunities it has brought me and contributing to such a special purpose. |
