ABOUT MEMy name is Vitoria and I'm a first-year Aerospace Engineering major, with a minor in Astrophysics. Coming from Brazil, I've realized that accepting the challenge of studying abroad was the best decision I've ever made. Whether I'm playing around and exploring STEM concepts, volunteering in public schools, or just enjoying a sunny Cincy afternoon with friends, UC's endless resources have made me grow into a more resilient, authentic, and ambitious person, and I can't wait to see what's next.

MY STORY I was always fascinated by astronomy growing up. Learning more about how such distant cosmic bodies impacted Earth and our lives gave me an interesting perspective. Eventually, studying lightspeed, quantum mechanics, the Fermi paradox, Einstein's relativity, and time travel in high school not only further amazed me, but consolidated my eagerness to explore the universe's mysteries.
My goals in the engineering industry are based on space research and sustainable systems development. I believe that designing the spacecraft necessary to resist extreme conditions and complex atmospheres will shape the scientific journey to fully understand our galaxy and its evolution. More importantly, however, is optimizing transportation with alternative systems to hopefully meet the defining challenge of our generation. |
